    2009_1027BooatZoo20090004

    Before Boo at the Zoo

This is what Lydia goes around saying all day while chasing Charlie to put on his witch hat.  I keep telling her it is feet, but it comes out pet peet.  I hope she doesn't say that tomrorow night!!

I have been terrible with my blog these past few months, I do hope to get better so family and friends can see what we have been up do, because I can't even remember two weeks again.  Wow and I am only 30.

We did take Lydia to a park to get her photo taken, so I will post those photos, and we did go to Boo at the Zoo.  I had my reconstructive Gum Tissue Graph done last Friday and had my stiches out this week, I have hole in my palate but my gums look great.  The hole will heal with time.  Oh and we have a new nephew/cousin.  Jason and Mindy (Kris's brother) had a baby boy last Saturday.  Kiptyn Ryan I think he was  6lbs 13oz Both Mom and Baby are healthy and doing well.

I will try to post Halloween photos tomorrow, the whole family is dressing up, should be fun!2009_1018Fall20090012 Pumpkin Patch

  • Time Flies

I know you are asking, where have they been.  And I will tell you.

Mom and Dad arrived in Boise on the 26th for a 10 day stay.  And Kris was in Ohio until the 27th for the Boise State Football game.  While Mom and Dad where here, we had a lot of fun.  Dad of course did a lot of Daddy-do projects for us while Kris worked during the week.  One day Kris took the day off and Mom and I went out for a girls day of shopping and eating out.  It was fabulous.  We drove out to the orchards to get Apple Cider but the Cider press wasn't working until Saturday so we drove 40 minutes for nothing.  I guess as they always say call first.  We did get to see some beautiful countryside and stop by Murphy, ID, a town of about 20 people.  Dad and I built Halloween decorations with a little help from Lydia.  We all attended the BSU Football game, which we got poured on so we left at half time but still Dad got to be on the sidelines for a while.  Mom and Dad drove all 13 hours straight through on the way home to make it back in one day.

    Shaving with Daddy

The Thursday after they left, we loaded our car and headed to Seattle to spend 4 days with my brother Dan and Niece Ellie.  The car ride there was 9 hours and was cake, thanks to a rested Lydia and the Portable DVD player, the car ride home was another 9 hours but was another story due to a tired, over played Lydia, but we still had the Dvd Player.  We had a great time visiting.  Kris got the chance to play golf at Dan's golf club (hootie tootie as I say) and the girls played so well together for the most part.  Lydia was in love with all Ellie's toys since they are different than hers and she is 17 months older so she has bigger girl toys.  We had beautiful weather and spent a lot of time outside.  We went to the Lake to feed ducks, went to Pike's Market, and to West Seattle for pizza.  Sunday Dan and Kirk built a fire ring in Dan's backyard and Sunday night we had a bon-fire and made smores.  It was the perfect ending to a great weekend.

    I'm dreaming of....

a bubble bath, with a nice glass of white wine and a good book.  Only if I could find the energy to make it to the bathroom to fill the tub and pour the wine and open the book.   I am beat today.  I have been canning ALL week long and today and I finally packed the canner away and have started to scrub my NASTY stove top.  I did peaches from my good friends mom's peach tree on Tuesday and Wednesday, more salsa on Thursday-this batch is so hot I can't even eat it, and Friday, Saturday and Sunday I made applesauce from free apples Lydia and I picked at a local orchard with our neighbors.  So that is what I have been up to besides, library trips, park trips, cuddle time, reading, watching Max and Ruby over and over, digging up bushes in the backyard to make way for my newly planned flower garden, laundry, dishes, cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner, sewing Lydia's Halloween Costume and some how finding time for me to read read and read.

Unlike the rest of the country we havn't found Fall yet, we are still in the high 80's and 90's but everyday I hope the weather man was wrong.  I am ready to put out Fall decoration and soon Halloween ones.  Lydia wants pumpkin's every time we see them and says Boo all the time!  So she must be ready also.

Lydia is talking non stop these days, she sings all the time, Mary Mary, Twinkle Twinkle, Abc's and she makes up songs as the day goes.  She will sit and read for what seems like hours and just looks at the pictures and makes up the story, it makes me so happy to see her do this.  She really has become the cutest little thing ever, Kris and I just laugh at the end of the day over things she has said.  Tonight we went to dinner at a Mexican restuarant and she wanted Nana to come and we said Nana lives a long ways away (Kris just hung up the phone with his mom-nana) Lydia says, nana lives far far away Lydia can't see her house!

Kris leaves for Bowling Green on Friday for the Boise State Football game and to visit his family.  And my parents will arrive on Saturday to spends 10 or so days with us.  So we are looking forward to their visit and have lots of things to do this time and Lydia can't wait for Papa to sit in the back with her in the car.

Off to put her to bed and maybe a bath for me!
